This opening event of World cup 2010 lasts for 30 minutes with the Colombian princess Shakira to perform Waka Waka.This opening ceremony will picturize the African beauty, the culture, the people and the traditions of Africa. Pop stars from other countries like Ghana are also performing in this big event.

In the opening game, the hosts South Africa takes on the Mexicans in Soccer City, Jo'burg. And in the second game Uruguay plays France in Green Point stadium, Cape town.
